Series of ink prints and collage from social media posts from Hurricane Helene, exploring the tension between place and identity through recurring motifs of mountain ranges and chaotic monotypes. Inspired by the artist’s separation from North Carolina during the ongoing aftermath of Hurricane Helene and leaving the National Guard, it visually and psychologically responds to dislocation, personal transformation, and the mediated realities of social media posts.
