The intent was to make people think. A plea to think freely. I made propaganda for propaganda, enhanced by the military uniform's enforcing quality, and the striking iconography of white all-caps text on red.
Passerby made a choice: stay within their comfortable assumptions, or interact and take a book. That's where the performance became a means of publication. Books are an intimate experience.
Self-reflection became an indulgence of the few.
